Color Bridges by Dawn Yoshimura, artist, educator and 4th generation keiki o ka aina, of Japanese descent shares a method of teaching watercolor and working with color to create harmonic pairs that build up to an intuitive calligraphic abstract series. Based upon meditation of kanji characters selected with care to create unique designs that together with harmonic color can assist someone in creating and maintaining a stress reducing, comforting atmosphere. Practiced by overstressed workers, elderly with chronic health issues, and blocked creatives. A simple tool using play and focused attention to relieve anxiety, stress, and creative processes. Screening of short documentary about the series, followed by longer interactive demo of creating a Color Bridge and Q&A from the audience
